PHOTO GALLERY: idobi Radio Summer School Tour returns for its sophomore year

Annual touring festival idobi Radio Summer School is back for its second year, this time featuring a massive seven-artist lineup of alternating headliners Charlotte Sands, Taylor Acorn, Rain City Drive, Arrows In Action, If Not For Me, and Beauty School Dropout, with opener Huddy. Taking inspiration from Warped Tour (and co-founded by Kevin Lyman), Summer School features rising alternative artists who are on track to headline their own tours in the future.
Seattle’s show had a few surprises, with two bands welcoming local musicians to the stage for guest features — 2024 Summer School headliners The Home Team vocalist Brian Butcher joined Arrows In Action for “Wide Eyes,” and Rain City Drive invited AVOID vocalist Benny Scholl on stage during “Medicate Me.” There was nonstop crowdsurfing throughout the show, particularly during the two heavier acts of Rain City Drive and If Not For Me. Charlotte Sands headlined with a room full of fans singing along, and closed out the night with brand new single “Hush.”

Summer School Tour’s next stop will be at Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach, CA, and continues through August 10 in Philadelphia — tickets for the remaining tour dates can be found at here.
